LISSY 2002 Automated Liquid Handling Platform

LISSY 2002 is a truly modular state of the art robotic system, combining sophisticated and flexible liquid handling functionality into the robotic arm, which glides on an x-rail to access the large workbench with its racks and modules or external modules.
LISSY 2002 is available with one or two arms, each arm can be equipped with 4 or 8 dispensing tips. The system can therefore be equipped with up to 16 dispensing tips, (8 on each arm), or tips on one arm and gripper on the second arm. The gripper can rotate up to 305°.
The design of LISSY 2002 allows easy integration of functional modules such as microplate readers, washers, shakers and centrifuges.
Simple Programming with a Mouse. LISSY is as easy to use as a manual pipette, due to the unique 32-bit Windows® -NT software “WinLISSY”. Using “drag and drop” techniques the user can easily design their own layouts for the workbench and generate protocols for their individual requirements and test them in a simulation run. Additional commands can be added to switch internal and external devices on or off, e.g. valves, shakers, alarms and screen messages.
WinLISSY automatically calculates optimum parameters in the protocol e.g. airgaps and dispensing speeds. If necessary, the user can define their own parameters from their experience and intervention is not required, once LISSY has been set up. During the run, each individual step is documented in a logfile and stored after the run. In case of an interruption, for example a power failure, the liquid handling task can proceedwithout any difficulty.
